Creative Artworker/Designer

This role is pivotal to building Nexus’ creative team. You will be joining a growing team with a vision to progress and further the ability to deliver top level visual content, whether it’s a big or small project. You’ll have a brilliant eye and scintillating design/artwork skills. You also need to be a lovely human who can work across the teams at Nexus and work closely with our Head of Content.
Reporting to and working directly under the Head of Content, you will be working as part of a growing content creation team. You will receive briefs from across the agency in order to bring to life presentations, graphics and all varieties of visual content.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing creative concepts and designs across all forms of print and digital platforms
• Supporting the PR team with visual content
• Supporting existing client programmes and new business pitches, ensuring all visuals and layouts are to a professional standard
• Taking design briefs from Head of Content and wider team to fantastic visual outputs
• Developing a deep understanding of the food and drink sector
• Working closely with the Head of Content and Account Directors to understand content requirements across projects

Your key skills are:

• You will have extensive experience in the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Comprehensive understanding and ability to carry out a full artwork process for both print and digital
• Fast creative thinking and ability to think in visual stories
• Strong typography and layout skills
• Strong creative and design skills
• Strong comprehension of MS Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and very high personal standards when it comes to quality, method and rigour
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfortable in a client facing role and able to work in a multi-disciplined agency environment
• Highly motivated and with a positive “can do” attitude

Preferable skills:

• An understanding of animation and video
• Interest in illustration
• Basic photography and social content skills


Your attributes:

• Graduate, at least 3 years design/artwork agency experience
• Vibey and creative
• Strong content creation experience for B2B and B2C campaigns and programmes
• A passion for digital and social creativity
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong time management and organisation skills with the ability to determine priorities and always hit deadlines
